adidas x Rick Owens S/S 2014

Oh yes... here is some fresh new stuff we really love!!

Adidas combines this season his breakthrough technology with the inspired vision of designer Rick Owens. Together they produce a range innovative footwear for men and women.
For those who don't know him, Rick Owens is one of the leaders of fashion's avant-garde. He defined an unmistakable minimalist, architectural and graphic aesthetic.

A great mixture of his design signature and a single silhouette composed of leather and nylon in colors of black, white, gray, pearl and bone has been made possible for this collaboration.

Like most great design projects, this one aswell arose from a personal desire -to motivate his cardio efforts. The results can be shown: one trainer in six unique material and color combinations for men and four for women.

We almost overlooked the barely perceptible tree-stripe adidas perforation on the side. In our opinion a very nice idea to put only a slight hint of branding.

Debuting this June at Paris fashion week, the collection will be on sale in December 2013. Retail prices range from 400€-500€. A steep price, but in our opinion, just for the design...it's worth it.
What do you think? We love sneakers...obviously we are not going to get around them... in a positive way. It is great that people start to wear sneakers on events where you maybe would wear something more sophisticated...better for our feet!!

Uni distraction

Oh Uni can be so boring!!!
That's why I was really happy that my little sister borrowed me a book from the Library at the University of Lübeck, where she is currently studying!!
Well the Book is really good and published in 2007, and the pictures are more or less from collections from 2005/06! It is called Young Fashion Designers from Marta R. Hidalgo.

I decided to show you some of the designers which I really like!!

In our opinion it is obvious that they had some kind of futuristic ideas...

The first picture shows a collection of Albino D'Amato ... We think that the most people started wearing wedges, maybe 2-3 years ago? What do you think?
The second picture shows a collection of BAMBIBYLAURA by Laura Figueras. Don't you think it looks exactly like American Apparel swimsuits? We think they look amazing;)
The third picture is definitely the best... it shows a print of Basso&Brooke! I would buy it and wear it immediately if it would be an overall!!
The fourth and fifth picture shows a collection of Gilles Rosiers and we love the blazer... the shoulders are high and in our opinion people started wearing this since Lady GaGa and Rihanna started doing it.

The exams are overrrrr... finally!! I know it has been such a long time since we wrote a post ... but... yeahii exams see you next semester!!

Could not wait to tell you about a great Event I have been with my best friend Hanna and my friend Steffi.

I was invited to the Vernissage of Designer and Artist Christine Weinacht.

As you can see in the gallery she is a very modern Artist and expresses this in her pictures.Actually, we had so much fun. There was a wine tasting, lots of food, to drink and a great ambiance because of these beautiful pictures hanging around us.

In my opinion Art makes the world... put some pictures in an empty room and it lights it up in a second.

Oh wow this is sooo cool!!

We just got our invitation for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin.
It is going to be great and we are going to post as much as we can!!!

Actually we don't have any time to blog anything because we are writing our (shit) exams !! But students have obviously to ;)
