New is always better - Y's by Yohji Yamamoto x adidas Originals F/W13

New is always better? In this case new and in our opinion different, and this new difference has become really great.

For his new Y's line, the brilliant designer Yohji Yamamoto reworked in a successful partnership the classic adidas Superstar and renamed it Y's super position.

Not only the optic is renewed, he also reverted to premium materials using suede lace stay, soft leather lining and smooth leather on the toe box replacing the textured shell toe.
The 3 stripes have been transformed with a hand-stitched feel, zigzagging along the side panels made from cotton overhanging the sole.

They exist in two color ways, one version white with red stripes and black heel and the other version mostly black with a white toe box, a white sole and a white heel tab and beige 3 stripes stitch.

They are available from August 10 at Y's stores in Tokyo, No6 London, No74 Berlin, No42 Paris and in selected fashion retailers worldwide.

After all, we can say that new is definitely not always better but in this case obviously almost the perfect designed reworked sneaker.
